Charities we support (new charity added in March 2010)
We raise funds for our chosen charities via our
recycling services.
£2 is also donated to Children's Hospice South West from every printeco
remanufactured toner cartridge we sell.

Children’s Hospice South West provides the only hospice care for life-limited children and their families in the South West of England. In the South West alone there are more that 1,000 children with life-limiting illnesses.
Caring for a life-limited child can be exhausting and lonely experience and can put immeasurable strain on the family. Our two hospices, Little Bridge House in North Devon and Charlton Farm in North Somerset are places where families go for respite and relaxation, friendship, expert palliative and end of life care; the support for the families start from their referral to our hospice and continues into bereavement.
Children’s Hospice South West had now launched the Precious Lives Appeal
to raise funds to build a third hospice in Cornwall, which will put the
final piece in the jigsaw of world class palliative care we provide
throughout the South West. Sadly the need for children’s hospice care will
never disappear but with your help, we can be there for as long as the
families need us.

ORCA – Looking our for Whales and Dolphins
Working in the Bay of Biscay, the North Sea and the Irish Sea, the
conservation charity ORCA (Organisation Cetacea) is raising public
awareness of whales, dolphins and porpoises and encouraging everyone to
help in their study.
Marine life faces many threats, including climate change, fisheries
by-catch and over-fishing, chemical and noise pollution. The information
we gather via a network of volunteer trained observers is vital for
monitoring cetacean populations and safeguarding their future and that the
entire marine ecosystem.
We exist to forge links between people and the sea, encouraging public
involvement by inspiring people to care about, watch and even learn more
about whales and dolphins throughout the European Atlantic. We run regular
training courses and volunteers are given the opportunity to take part in
research surveys from ferries and cruiseliners throughout the year - a
great way to see marine wildlife whilst participating in
globally-important long-term whale and dolphin population monitoring
programme.
Please help us continue our vital work by volunteering, joining as a
member, or making a donation. If you have a group and would like us to
come and give you a talk, please get in contact.
Whatever you can do, you’ll be helping a dedicated team undertake great
work to aid the conservation of cetaceans and our oceans. With us you’ll
know your contribution will count.

The World Development Movement (WDM) campaigns
for a world without poverty and injustice. Our world has the wealth and
means for all to live comfortably and to end poverty. Yet despite this
nearly half the world’s population live on less than £1.40 a day and over
11 million children will die from poverty-related illness this year.
We believe that charity is not enough. The policies of governments and
companies are keeping people poor by exploiting them to make bigger and
bigger profits. Unless we challenge them, we are allowing this injustice
to continue. We challenge the powerful by lobbying decision-makers to put
an end to practises that harm the world’s poor. We work in solidarity with
activists around the world to tackle the root causes of poverty,
researching and promoting positive alternatives which put the rights of
poor communities before the interests of big businesses.
We are currently campaigning on two major issues. On climate change, we
are lobbying the government to reduce UK carbon emissions by saying no to
airport expansion and coal. On trade, we are campaigning to abolish unfair
trade deals including those between the European Union and the global
south.
We have already achieved great successes on debt cancellation, genetic
modification, the arms trade, workers’ rights, and access to water.

New Futures Nepal is a UK registered charitable trust. It was established
in 2002 by a group of like-minded people who, having spent time trekking
in Nepal, wanted to give something back to the people of that country.
Disabled and orphaned children live a harsh life in this desperately poor
country (one of the top 10 poorest countries in the world). Without
regular financial support and assistance they are often reduced to begging
on the streets, living rough and are prey to unscrupulous traffickers and
drug barons.
The charity obtained UK registered charity status in July 2003. We are a
non-governmental, non-political and non-religious organisation. The
charity is engaged in raising funds to provide assistance and relief and
to support cases of need, hardship and distress for Nepali children and
adults.
We are the main providers of financial support to two homes for disabled
and orphaned children and adults; one in Kathmandu, Nepal and one in
Kalimpong, Northern India. In these homes we care for 32 resident
children, 2 disabled adults and we provide salaries for 7 carers. Our
funding also helps to cover medical care and treatments required as well
as education for all the children living in the homes.
We also support one-off projects providing shelter for street children and
aid for community projects throughout the Himalayan region.
The charity’s total administrative costs are under 1% and all the trustees
work voluntarily for the charity
A trustee visits Nepal at least once a year to oversee our projects and
confirm that funds are spent as intended.

The Good Rock Foundation was founded by Jeff &
Jacqui Shurr in 1997 after they visited China’s orphanages on the adoption
of their daughter. At that time, China’s orphanages’ doors were closed to
outsiders. Jeff & Jacqui’s daughter Abigail came from a poor & remote
region where help was desperately needed. Our name ‘Good Rock’ comes from
Abigail’s Chinese name which means ‘the rock’ & her birthdate; Good
Friday!
Good Rock started small, reaching the needs of a few children with special
needs & has grown over the last decade to reach out to hundreds of
children across the region of Xinjiang. Good Rock works with in
partnership with China’s government to help improve child welfare policy &
we do that in a variety of ways with;
* Foster care
* Education for minority children & teens
* Therapy & life skills training for the disabled
* Medical relief
* Training for orphanage caregivers
* Feeding programmes
Good Rock is a registered charity in the UK and Hong Kong and a member of
China Association of Social Work.
We at Good Rock believe that shared resources helps build a better future
faster for China’s orphans & to this end we have co-operated with other
organisations such as; WHO, Save The Children, International China
Concern, Care for Children, Children’s Hope International, Half The Sky,
Shanghai Children’s Medical Center, Fu Wai Hospital Beijing, Prince of
Wales Hospital Hong Kong, Hong Kong Society for Rehabilitation.
Our work is funded through individual and corporate donations, funds
raised through events and from A Gift From China charity store.
Over the years we have brought volunteer experts to help the children. We
have had visiting Doctors, Dentists, Occupational Therapists,
Psychologists and others.
We currently have long term projects in 5 Xinjiang orphanages serving
hundreds of children. There are over 35 orphanages in this province and it
is our vision to reach each of these children. You can help by donating
(see our web site) or volunteering your expertise.
