Charities we support:
ActionAid
We support ActionAid by donating £2
for every one of our Greensource Imaging Toner Cartridge
range sold. Greensource Solutions is also donating £26,800 in support of ActionAid
during 2008 from the proceeds of recycling printer cartridges and mobile
phones.
ActionAid is one of the UK's largest international development
organisations. Last year they helped over 13 million of the world's
poorest and most vulnerable people in more than 40 countries throughout
Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean.
Working alongside 2,000 local, national and international organisations
they make the most of their knowledge and experience to try and reduce
poverty in the world.
They do this by helping to ensure people get the food, safe water,
shelter, education, healthcare and the means to earn a living that is
their right - and to enable people to have a say in the decisions that
affect their lives.
ActionAid also campaigns to influence the Governments, institutions and
big businesses that make the decisions and policies that often keep poor
people poor.
ActionAid is a registered charity, reg no. 274467.

We support Children's Hospice South West via the
Caring Cartridge scheme.
Children's Hospice South West provides the
only hospice care in the region and supports children with life limiting
or life threatening conditions and their families. In the South West
region alone there are more than 1,000 children with life-limiting
illnesses. Our two hospices, Little Bridge House in North Devon and
Charlton Farm in North Somerset, provide respite care and support for
those families who have to cope with the most difficult of situations.
Caring for a life-limited child can be an exhausting and lonely experience
and can put immeasurable strain on the family. Both Little Bridge House
and Charlton Farm are places where families go for respite and relaxation,
friendship, expert palliative and end of life care; the support for the
families starts at diagnosis and continues into bereavement. Children's
Hospice South West launched the Precious Lives Appeal in 2007 to raise
funds to build a third hospice in Cornwall to complete the final piece in
the jigsaw of world class palliative care throughout the South West.
Our expert care currently costs six million pounds a year and we receive
little government funding. We are hugely appreciative for the generosity
of individuals, community groups, grant making bodies and corporate
supporters from across the South West region. Please support the work of
Caring Cartridge by recycling your empty ink cartridges and old mobile
phones to raise money for the Children’s Hospice South West. You will be
supporting life limited children and they families throughout the South
West. Sadly the need for children’s hospice care will never disappear but
with your help we can be there all the time.

ORCA – Looking our for Whales and Dolphins
Working in the Bay of Biscay, the North Sea and the Irish Sea, the
conservation charity ORCA (Organisation Cetacea) is raising public
awareness of whales, dolphins and porpoises and encouraging everyone to
help in their study.
Marine life faces many threats, including climate change, fisheries
by-catch and over-fishing, chemical and noise pollution. The information
we gather via a network of volunteer trained observers is vital for
monitoring cetacean populations and safeguarding their future and that the
entire marine ecosystem.
We exist to forge links between people and the sea, encouraging public
involvement by inspiring people to care about, watch and even learn more
about whales and dolphins throughout the European Atlantic. We run regular
training courses and volunteers are given the opportunity to take part in
research surveys from ferries and cruiseliners throughout the year - a
great way to see marine wildlife whilst participating in
globally-important long-term whale and dolphin population monitoring
programme.
Please help us continue our vital work by volunteering, joining as a
member, or making a donation. If you have a group and would like us to
come and give you a talk, please get in contact.
Whatever you can do, you’ll be helping a dedicated team undertake great
work to aid the conservation of cetaceans and our oceans. With us you’ll
know your contribution will count.
